Our ball based spline profile was inspired by the farming industry which has been using star spline tubes on PTO applications. The profile allows for some neat stuff:
- Easy to machine in-house
- Can transfer torque via the rounded star profile
- The rounded shape allows for future telescoping applications
- Ball shifting capabilities
- Ability to add bearing or bushing to the ID
- Acts as a clocking feature for easy setups
